Baby Sis

Rufus adores his baby sister and enjoys licking up delicious left over formula. Ruf's parents now spend a good deal of time working on Baby Amelia's Blog, ameliarose.blogspot.com.

Ruf's Guide to Fine Dining

Tonight Rufus discovered Chicas, a local resturant that caters to people who love mexican food and their dogs. Ruf was able to beg for food on the patio and then his parents treated him to some Frosty Paws doggy ice cream. Two ears up for Chicas!

Fast

Not much of a story with this pic, I just like it because it shows how fast Rufus really is.

New Friend

Rufus made a new friend - Harley, a 1.5 lb full blodded chihuahua. Rufus checked her front and back and thinks she is ok.

Cuz Sassy

Ruf likes to play with his cousin Sassy the cat. Sassy has no front claws, unlike the 2 felines Ruf contends with at home, so Ruf feels confident teasing and chasing Sassy - until Sassy gets fed up and fights back as shown here. Supposedly Ruf and Sassy become best buds once they spend some time together. Ruf's grandma claims to have seen these two giving each other a bath but has no physical evidence to support this claim.

Doggy Destruction

When Ruf's parents traveled to Italia in post-nuptial bliss Mr. Schnooks went to stay with grandma for 2.5 weeks. Despite constant pampering, walks, treats and playtime with Cuz Sassy, Ruf was depressed. He missed mom and dad and his usual routine. One afternoon while taking the sun on the patio Ruf noticed some tasty weather stripping on grandma's brand new french doors. Rufus is never one to pass up a chance to use his mouth to entertain himself. After lots of little bites the insulation was as worn out as Ruf's welcome.

Today Rufus made a trip to Paw Park. He had a great time sniffing and getting to know other dogs. He even got to roam around in the large dog area, normally restricted to dogs over 50 lbs. The highlight of his trip - leaving his mark (nos. 1 & 2) directly on the sign telling pet owners to clean up after their animals. Mom and Dad forgot to bring the camera but promise to post some pics after Ruf's next trip to Paw Park.

Big Changes for Mr. Schnooks

Rufus will soon have a baby brother or sister (human).

Aunts

Dog Party

Ruf's first dog party was for his friend Sadie, the Mini-Pin he is pictured inspecting.

At the party Ruf ate some cake ...

and got in a fight with Daisy, a Mini-Schnauzer.

Italian Rufus

While Ruf's parents were in Italy they met Samsone, a dog that looks remarkably like Ruf. He lives in Polveraia, a small Tuscan village with a breathtaking view of the rolling Italian countryside. His is a bit old and cranky and his breath isn't so great. In this pic he has just awoken from a nap, flies are circling his head and he is preparing to growl at us.
